What is the difference between a Management Plan and a Management System?
A management system provides a process-oriented approach to documenting and reviewing the structure, responsibilities, and procedures required to achieve effective management of the organisation as a whole. Management Systems are often based on standards such as ISO 9001 or AS/NZS ISO 45001 and can be certified to attest to their compliance with a standard. Management Plans focus on a specific area of a business, project or site location and can complement a management system by addressing focus area in greater detail.
